Complete building renovation (31,926 sf) and 20,000 sf addition of the 1958- era Holl-Kintner academic science building. MSKTD and the design-builder worked together throughout pre-construction, design and construction to deliver the project within budget and ahead of the original schedule.
With its new glass atrium welcoming prospective students, the Academic Center joins a combination of academic programs within one building. The major new features of this 3-story renovated facility are

 - General classrooms
 - Welcome center
 - Food court with exterior dining area
 - Faculty offices
 - Lounges
 - Elevator and mechanical spaces
 
This facility was recently renamed to honor Martha and Joseph Cunningham, the first African-American students to attend the institution.
