Franciscan Health – Lafayette East Patient Tower

This project was a major expansion of the existing Franciscan Health hospital located on the east side of Lafayette. The new patient tower provided much-needed capacity to serve the current and future needs of the community while enhancing specialties like wound care, physical therapy, pediatrics, and oncology. The project included the new patient tower/visitor’s entrance encompassing 85,000 square feet and an expansion of the central plant comprising an additional 6,650 square feet. The project featured the following:
- 28 beds – Medical Unit
- 14 beds – Inpatient Rehab Unit
- 14 beds – Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit
- New Specialty Care Services
- Healing Gardens
- New Guest Relations Kiosk
This project was a huge success, creating a new front entrance for patients and visitors while improving capacity and capabilities to serve the healthcare needs of the Greater Lafayette Community. With an investment of approximately $40 million, the new addition opened its doors in April 2018.
