New Year Brings New President for MSKTD
As we begin another year, MSKTD gratefully reflects upon the success and accomplishments garnered in 2018. We celebrated our 40th anniversary, cut the ribbon for some fantastic facilities, and continue to grow and expand our capabilities to better serve our clients! The New Year is always a time of transition, and 2019 is especially so for those of us at MSKTD. We are proud to announce that Gary Voirol is our new president! Gary is excited to lead in this new capacity as Jim Kratzat, founding principal and immediate past president, hands over the reins of the company. Jim will continue to manage accounts and projects as well as serve on the executive committee for the firm.
Gary points out that it is less about change and more about renewed commitment, when he says “We will carry on the same level of service and embrace the principles that our clients expect from us. We will remain responsive, detail oriented, open to new ideas and always advocate on behalf of those who have entrusted their projects with us!”
Gary has been with MSKTD for over thirty years. He started his career with MSKTD in 1982 as a summer intern. He joined the firm on a full-time basis in 1985 and became a principal in 1992. Prior to accepting his new role as president, Gary served as vice president and secretary of the firm since 2007. He will continue co-directing our Academic Group with a focus on higher education facilities. Gary was also recently elected to the executive board of the Building Contractors Association (BCA) of Northeast Indiana.
When asked about the new company president, Jim Kratzat said,
“He’s got some mighty big shoes to fill! All kidding aside, Gary will do a great job! We have had three presidents at MSKTD, Al Sheldon (1978-2007, myself (2007-2018) and now Gary Voirol. Gary might be the perfect blend between myself and Al. He’s the right person to lead our company — now and in the years to come. Congratulations Gary!”
