After completing 2014’s 132,000 s.f. office and warehouse addition, which included a 9,000 s.f. dining room expansion, Sweetwater wanted to ensure that their customers would have an experience unequaled in the music retail industry, by renovating and expanding their existing store. Now, the new retail store is more than three times it’s original size, and features:
- expanded electric, acoustic and bass guitar show rooms
- expanded drum show room
- expanded recording room
- newly added live sound room,
- and piano and keyboard show floor.
It also included the addition of Dave’s Music Den, a full line print music store within the new Sweetwater store.
The upscale retail store boasts the largest inventory of musical gear in the Midwest. Over 400 guitars, drums, studio recording equipment, speakers, microphones, pianos and keyboards, Mac computers and much more are on display and the “endless selection” screens within each department allow customers to browse Sweetwater’s full inventory.
The new store also features a number of specialized demo areas to run new instruments through their paces. Each room allows the customer to have a unique experience, fully immersing themselves in their area of interest, as each room is acoustically isolated.
