The new academic complex supports the Aviation Technology faculty in taking additional national and global leadership roles in learning, discovery, and engagement for the aviation industry.
Construction and renovation of the combined facility addressed departmental needs for
- New classrooms
- Collaborative areas for research and student team building,
- Office space.
The new complex provides the department with a new “front door” befitting a world-class academic unit, promoting cohesiveness among sections, and more effective integration of related disciplines. It houses the department’s administrative offices and academic advising center; encompasses areas for collaborative discussions with industry partners and among student teams; is outfitted with modern, spacious, and properly-equipped support facilities; and contains classrooms that are appropriate learning areas for students.
