Ivy Tech Community College Southern Indiana
New Ogle Hall School of Technology
& Existing Campus Renovation
Sellersburg Campus
Ivy Tech’s top priority with the design of Ogle Hall was to create a building with open spaces for collaboration with additional classrooms and labs for the students and faculty that would provide a true college campus experience. This 78,500 sf new building features 26 classrooms, 2 two-way distance learning classrooms, a 200-seat Auditorium, a fine arts and design gallery, with clusters of comfortable student gathering areas throughout.
The building exterior has natural building elements such as red brick, limestone and wood within a design concept that recalls classic schools of architecture. The design and building materials work in conjunction with rich landscaping to create more green space, more outdoor gathering areas and a traditional college quad.
With the exterior of the building being of classic style, MSKTD’s designers incorporated a simple, sophisticated, timeless interior style, with clean lines and warm neutral finishes of soft whites and warm greys, with splashes of deep, rich oranges. Open spaces are equipped with soft seating with a beautiful view from large spans of glass windows looking onto either the courtyard or the rolling landscape.
Renovations to the exterior of the existing classroom building were completed as a part of this project, creating a consistent architectural style for the campus.
