IUPUI – North Hall
Indianapolis, IN
North Hall is a Huge Success! The first new traditional residence hall on campus since IUPUI was founded in 1969 opened for students in August – 2016. The 172,000 square-foot 700-Bed residence hall is a welcome addition to the urban campus managed by Indiana University. This hyper fast-tracked project went from concept to construction in less than 6 months and had a total construction schedule of only 15 months. The new hall has two residential wings (four/six stories respectively) and features a sleek, modern design complimentary of the campus and its downtown Indianapolis location.
While the primary function of the facility is to provide students single and double occupancy rooms, today’s collegians expect more. In addition to beautiful views of the IUPUI Campus and the Indianapolis Skyline, North Hall features the following amenities:
- Grand Lobby
- Micro-Lounges on each floor
- Computer Lab
- Game Room
- Fitness Area
- Laundry Facility
- Large Programming Area, and
- Two Classrooms
The Higher Ed team at MSKTD designed and managed this complex project. North Hall was delivered using the CM as Constuctor (CM at Risk) delivery method and achieved LEED® Silver Certification.
