Another MSKTD Project Wins National Honor
Each year, Food Engineering honors the most innovative and technologically advanced food or beverage plant built. A project designed by MSKTD & Associates has once again been awarded Food Engineering’s Plant of the Year!
Since 1983, Food Engineering magazine has been awarding this prestigious honor and MSKTD has provided architectural design services on four (4) of the winning projects. The Plant of the Year for 2019 is Valley Milk LLC located in Turlock, California. MSKTD is proud to have been the Architect of Record for this project. Congratulations to Valley Milk and everyone involved with this exceptional project, including our design/build partner – Shambaugh & Son!
Being in California, water and energy efficiencies are top of mind. The Valley Milk facility not only meets, but exceeds the stringent California regulations thanks to the design and construction expertise provided by the project team! Many other aspects of the facility utilized ingenious and innovative approaches to solve a challenge. George Bachnivsky, Principal and Co-Director of the Food Processing Design Group at MSKTD, says “Every facility and operation have their own set of challenges, so we approach each project from a unique perspective. However, some things remain constant. Our hygienic designs must be innovative, efficient and cost effective. I’m confident that we included these three aspects in our design for Valley Milk.”
“The Plant of the Year award honors companies who set new standards for innovative and sustainable design and construction,” says Food Engineering Editor-in-Chief Casey Laughman. “Valley Milk and Shambaugh & Son were clear winners this year due to their commitment to designing and building an innovative, sustainable facility that raises the bar dramatically on what a food processing plant can be.”
Congratulations to Valley Milk, LLC. Food Plant of the Year for 2019!
