FW Zoo Experiences & Exhibits
(formerly Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo)
MSKTD’s architects and engineers teamed with Bassett and Associates for ongoing work at the FW Zoo. The Zoo has been recognized locally, nationally, and even internationally for innovative displays, award-winning animal exhibits, and well-manicured grounds.
Projects include:
- Australian Adventure: upgrades to the exhibit
- African Journey: a complete renovation of the Zoo’s African Adventure exhibit featuring a new lion exhibit, renovated giraffe exhibit with feeding station, and accessible trails. In addition, improvements were made to infrastructure and winter holding areas for the animals.
- Main Entry Renovation: new membership building, stroller barn, stroller concession building, new ticket booths and new large trellis work. Many of the walkways were modified and/or rebuilt.
- ‘Wild Things’ Gift Shop new build with restroom building
- Animal Quarantine building
- Indonesian Rainforest: Re-roof of the building
- Great Barrier Reef Building: Additions including the Shark and Ray Aquarium
- Ongoing capital improvement projects
