This unique project converted a 1950’s hospital into a modern learning environment for nursing and clinical students. MSKTD & Associates collaborated with Franciscan Health and construction partner Tonn and Blank to creatively renovate approximately 86,000 square feet transforming the 3-story hospital into a technologically enriched environment for today’s 21st Century students.
The school features classrooms, large conferencing areas, a library, a student center, and multiple simulation lab spaces. The Sim Lab replicates everything from emergency room trauma scenarios to the birth of a child. The new school of nursing is a great facility where Franciscan Health students and staff can be trained and where those in the Lafayette Area Community can interact. Project Cost: $10 million.
