The Jaguar Campus Recreation Center, also known as “The Jag,” supports campus life at Indiana University Indianapolis. Originally designed for Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), the fitness center opened in March of 2018, and continues to serve the Indiana University Indianapolis students, faculty, and staff today.
The 10,000-square-foot fitness center is accessible from both the atrium and theater levels of the Campus Center. Inside guests have access to ADA-accessible cardio and strength-training equipment, showers, changing rooms, and flexible workout space. Spacious locker rooms and private shower areas enhance the user experience, while private offices, meeting rooms, and break rooms support facility operations and staff needs.
The facility is equipped with technology that includes internet and Wi-Fi access points, large-screen monitors, and integrated audio-visual systems. Expandable power and data infrastructure provides flexibility for future enhancements, including the addition of smart exercise equipment that supports a more customized workout experience.
